Gave ourselves a few days to get used to the 9,000+ feet elevation before attempting this hike which was perfect to get acclimated. A lot dryer and thinner air here than in Seattle. This trail had good variety and the falls were full flowing. Lots of water coming down and with beautiful blue skies we couldn't ask for anything better. Lots of wildflowers blooming along the trail as well. We even spotted a marmot along the trail today. Great hike to start our vacation in Summit County. |
