WOOOOHOOOOO. I wanted to do this one a couple weeks ago with some friends but couldnt make it due to them both being injured. Then last week we ended up doing Hortons Creek. So finally me and Pops were able to make it up today. We hit the trail at about 5:45 with a few people ahead of us. We got by them in the first mile or so and had the trail all to ourselves. Once we got to the saddle it got a little windy. We then started up the first false summit. The mile after the saddle seemed to be the toughest mile for me. we made it up to the real summit in 2hrs 29mins and the fog set in pretty thick and obstructed most of the far visibility. We start encountering people shortly after we left the summit. There was a ton of people. The tortoises only got past by two runners on the way down though :y: . This was my first hike breaking 10miles and my first hike at real high elevation. It was amazing. :y:
