My friend Chiu had never hiked to the summit of Humphreys. We had planned the hike last year but kept cancelling because of the forecast. Finally the the forecast for this weekend was clear it was perfect weather. The trailhead parking was almost full at 8am. The trail wasn't too crowded but once we got to the ridgeline it was a conga line. Chiu had a little trouble with the thin air but pressed on to the top. We ran into ddgrunning & son on the way down. I think they'll be more than ready for Whitney in July. We hiked out fairly quick and were back home by 5:30p.
