Short hike with my son-in-law and two of our grandkids. We started out on the north side of the loop. It's a nice easy stroll through a ponderosa forest with occasional lush green meadows this time of year. The trail follows Thompson Creek for part of the loop. The creek had just a trickle between pools containing crawdads. Michael was enthusiastic about the hike but Bella not so much.
