| no partners | | Went on a hike up the East Baldy trail with my daughter. I had hiked up the West Baldy trail 3 days earlier with my daughter's husband and decided I liked the area so much I would bring my daughter here. It was a beautiful day with puffy white clouds floating in a brilliant blue sky. The meadows along the East Fork of the Little Colorado were a lush green with a sprinkling of wild flowers. The views from the ridge and the rock formations on the way to the ridge top were spectacular. I can't decide which hike I liked better, the West Baldy trail or the East Baldy Trail. It was definitely worthwhile doing both. I again started to run out of gas above 10000 ft and we were running out of time so we cut the hike short at about 4.8 miles up the trail to an elevation of 10478. |
