| no partners | | Bruce and I were out on our Senator Highway excursion that included a drive from Prescott to Crown King on the Historic Dirt Road. Along the way we would stop at several sights and points of interest. We had a handful of enjoyable hikes as well. Prior to Towers Mountain we did Horse Mountain and then headed over to Towers. Bruce decided to take the opportunity to grab some shade and take a break while I did this one.
This trail has had fire damage and is overgrown and hard if not impossible to follow in the middle. The upper end and the lower end isn't too bad. Just overgrown. I had high hopes for this one and it was enjoyable overall. The down side is that I was trying really hard to get a clean track going in either direction for HAZ. It simply wasn't possible. The trail would just vanish at times. With that being said it isn't hard to figure out how to get to the top and back down. |
