Car camped in Hotel Del Cherokee at the Bassett Trailhead. Woke up this morning to a picture perfect day and hit the trail around 7am.

It was such a nice day to be hiking one of my all time favorites. Weather was perfect. Trail is good however getting a bit overgrown in places. There was a little washout up towards the top as well from the recent storms.

I had a short visit at the summit which is always an enjoyable spot. Then it was down and over to the Arcadia Trail.

I'm looking forward to going back in a couple months to see the leaves change colors. Maybe on that visit I will hike over to Sunset Peak instead of Bassett. Looks like it would make for a great hike as well.
