| no partners | | Did a combo of a mine tour with a trip up to the top of Sheep Mountain. Along the way I kept a wide eye in hopes of seeing anything at all that would shed light on Joe's whereabouts.
You would think with the way the fire cleared things that someone would find him. I will admit that this is a huge area and on the way down I slipped and slid down 10 feet and ended up under some brush. I thought to myself if I hit my head nobody would be able to find me. My Jeep was 5 miles away and I told nobody where I was going. Now that made me think!
On a lighter note when I was up top (my first visit to sheep) the views were spectacular. No wonder Joe had a love for the area. Coming down I took a different route just to cover more area. My route was similar to Barrett's trip in April but had very little overlap.
I am not a huge fan of off trail and today I wore shorts. I ALWAYS wear pants but today I decided to wear shorts. What was I thinking? Needless to say my legs are shredded.
Joe we will continue the search until we find you! That's a promise! |
