Took a friend from work on her first Canyon backpacking trip.
Set up camp at IG, then hiked on down to last week's pool - quite a bit lower this week.
Later we hiked down to the top of the Devil's Corkscrew - my first time there ... really nice slickrock pools there, and I got a look at where the technical descent of Garden Creek begins - damn, I wanna do that!
Lots of deer, including a proud mama and her nursing fawn, one garter snake, and the IG pigeon.
Also saw and chatted with awesome Rangers Elyssa and Betsy.
