| partners | | I spent the morning sitting next to @Sun_Ray at Scottsdale Community College listening to an amazing lecture from Len Marcisz (soon to be President of the AZ Historical Society) on "Human History in the McDowells" - 4 hours of intense and jam-packed history from ancient peoples to the founding of the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. Learned a lot - and one more reason I love being a steward - access to all the educational offerings. Although these lectures are open to the public - you just have to follow the calendar on the MSC website or subscribe to MSC emails.
After a nice nap, we got packed up to do a nice family hike. Parked at 128th St TH - took Ringtail Trail in a lasso loop to Lost Dog Wash trail and back. Pushed it a little through sunset - got some AWESOME pics with crazy gorgeous purple sky. Then back home for dinner to watch football and have a glass of bubbly.
