Got to TH around 9.30. Parking lot filled with cars and many license plates are non-arizonan. Cloudy day but temps are perfect in 50s. Plan was to take maverick2 to cholla loop and see if any of the phase2C trails are done. They are not done but I heard either ATVs or trail construction. Finished the loop CW and took MV2. Saw lot of bilkers and few hikers and 2 runners.
I photographed a new bird for me(also not listed on MSP bird list)--sagebrush sparrow. Very exciting. Last wed, I photographed sage thrasher too. Not common but listed in MSP bird list.
Overall amazing hike.
PS: think the harris hawks on power lines have babies. Saw 2 juvies sleeping up there. I hope they don't have any mutations.
