Take-a-Hike and the Arizona Backpacking Club teamed up for a clean up day on the Salt River below Usury Pass. We intended to get all the way down to Phon D, but took out at Coon Bluff because we were:

Exhausted
Completely full of trash
Running out of daylight

It was amazing that even after all the big hurricanes and floods had cleaned the rive corridor, there was still far more trash than a dozen hard workers could even make a dent in. However, we felt good about getting gross stuff off the river banks and out of the rocks, and had a really good time doing it.

Now, I've got to make a trip down there to paddle just for fun someday. Aside from trash and icky people, it was pretty fun!
