Matt the Mountain Rat only gets a couple days a month off so I have never had the opportunity to hike with him. Today that changed and he showed me a great hike. I have hiked Finger Rock to Kimball several times and I have hiked up to Window Rock and Window Peak a couple times but never linked them. Today we hiked Finger Rock Trail up to the junction with the Pima Trail. I went ahead and hit Kimball. Matt would have too but he was already there yesterday.

From the junction we continued on the Finger Rock #42 trail over to the junction in Ventana Canyon with the Esperero Trail. Than we took that up to Window Rock. While in the area I went ahead and hit Window Peak as well and then we returned the way we came. Weather was perfect with a nice overcast all day.

Recently a crazy man suggested this hike plus a trip over to Cathedral and back. That one is still rattling around in the back of my mind and hopefully it will come to fruition prior to the Summertime heat.
