Both my planned routes went through private property. Instead of going back we decided to continue on one of the roads. The road was rough. Getting close to Humbug, we came across a barricaded road. No access to Humbug. You have to call a week in advance and the owners personally give you a tour of the ghost town. Damn my poor planning and researching. Now off to Columbia. We stopped at a couple grave sites along the way. We explored the Columbia area and had our lunch. We continued our trip 3 more miles along the road. The road started getting worse, so we turned around and headed back. The route back was in a lot better shape, and there where no Private Property signs.
We did see a lot of wildlife including a Ringtail, Gila Monster, donkey, wasps, mice and more.... |
