| no partners | | The pups and I hiked Apache Peak following a close path to Darth Stiller's GPS track. I did start in a different location not to far off from his. The spot where I started does needs a high clearance vehicle to get to. Everything was going great until the last 1/8 of a mile. It was rough. I had to help my bigger dog in a three spots. My Jack Russell scaled the mountain with out any problems. Overall a great hike, with perfect weather. To bad the mailbox at the top has bullet holes in it. The signed registries gets ruined everytime it rains. Some dated back to 06-07
I wouldn't recommend taking dogs to the top. There is a lot of cactus and boulder climbing. |
