Friday Night:
My adventure started around 5pm Friday Night. I turned down Telegraph Rd driving toward the campsite. With HAZtracks messing up on me, I took a couple wrong turns. I ended up driving off-course to highway 177. Back on track, I did get to see a beautiful sunset over Picketpost. The downside of the sunset, was knowing I was running out of sunlight. I didn't want to navigate this road at night. The road was rough but manageable. I arrived at the campsite around 6:15. I was greeted by the AZTrail 4Runner (India and Sirena.) The next few hours, people started showing up and setting up their tents. Lit by a LED campfire, We all talked a while until everyone showed up.
Saturday:
The next morning I went on a early morning hike. I hiked 1.2 miles up the the AZT #17. I was able to get great views of the camp. I then headed back down to camp, to join the group orientation. We then spend the day hiking and working on the trail. Our group met up with Cannondalekid and worked our way back toward camp. I arrived back at camp around 5:30pm. When I arrived, Wendy was busy getting dinner ready for everyone. For the next couple hours, we sat around the campfire. We enjoyed Wendy's dinner, cold beverages, S'more and her entertainment. (Possible video/audio to come later). One by one the group slowly headed off to bed. We did cheer on a couple of bikers that where racing on the AZT#17. Hopefully we didnt disturb any of our group that where already sleeping.
Sunday:
Sunday morning I did a small hike up the wash by camp. It was about a mile round trip. I then had breakfast and joined a small group doing more maintenance. I then headed back to camp to pack up. I helped place the water cache, and followed the AZT 4Runner to Superior.

It was nice to finally meet more people from HAZ and others from other hiking groups.
