| partners | | After a short drive on a quite nasty FR 938, followed by a quick glance at the terrain, Tracey wasn't interested in even a short jaunt to the summit so she hiked farther along FR 938 (where it was flat) while I bagged the summit.
There were trees all around at the summit so but it took some walking around for the best views but by moving around I found a nice clear route back to the road. While it added some distance, it took less time.
On the return drive along Forest Road 938 we noticed what looked to be an Ancient Native American ruin site. So naturally we had to get out and check it out. We spent 15 minutes or so trying to gauge the full extent, which appeared to cover and area of at least 50 by 100 yards. And of course eagle-eye Tracey located some pottery shards, two with dimpled decorations.
