| partners | | Originally planned as hike #2 of 4 this one would ultimately be the last last hike of the day. It was easy enough to drive most of the way up to the summit and from there it was a short jaunt to the summit. Tracey bailed right away, the fox-tail tantrum again so I made it quick.
Not the view I hoped of Roosevelt Lake, but at least it's another peak off my to-do list.
After the short hike our next planned stop was to be a quick round-trip to Salome Jug, but as we noticed the warming as we drove along A-Cross Road along and by the looks of the trail it was wide-open with no shade... well, let's just say with Tracey already semi-dozing due to the constant rocking of the Jeep along FR 895 and A-Cross Road, let's leave it for another day and pick up a short hike somewhere along the trip home.
Yeah right... 
We took a quick side-trip on Forest Road 1430 hoping for a short hike down to Roosevelt Lake but the road deteriorated into nothing before we got reasonably close, so that will be for another time as well.
