| no partners | | I wanted to get out there later in the day so that I could get good pics not knowing that BT closed at 5. Anyway, as always a great hike and so many pictures to take in spite of the early closing time.
I happen to know the former curator fomr 1948-62 and he had given us a little tour last year so it means so much more to see all of the plant life. He is responsible for a lot of these tall trees that were planted from seed. He is still excited to see the fruits of his labor 50 years later. I'd say he must have immense patience to plant some of those trees from seed.
I got a spectacular picture of a Northern Cardinal among many other photos. The IRIS were in full bloom and absolutely wonderful. But I love all the cactus too. Needless to say, they had to kick me out but I was still able to get my fair share of pics in 2 hrs. |
