This was my first venture to the Cave Creek Trail system. It was a great hike with several ups and downs but nothing major. I hiked clockwise. I want to do the Go John but I like to try out a smaller hike first so that I can get the lay of the land. This is a quick hike; I'll get it down to 1:15 hike time or less when I don't take as many pics; maybe even less.
The trail is well marked. I didn't run into but about 5 other hikers. This was on a Sunday afternoon; weather was perfect! I remember pausing as I couldn't get over how quiet it was...

For me, sometimes it's just as much about the journey as the destination.
Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled.
