| no partners | | I did the Metate Trail to where it joins with the Spur Cross Trail and back the Metate (it's just so scenic). Though the weather to the west looked rainy, I decided to take a quick Friday afternoon hike with my camera in tow. Of course, it was beautiful and the sky was mixed so it provided a great photo opportunity. There was hardly anyone on the trail which amazes me because this hike is so close to town and so easy.
Anyway, it appears there are some boulders missing on some of the creek crossings; especially the main creek crossing before you go up into Tonto Forrest -- so you have to go N a little to find an easier path. But the bees were buzzing, the birds a chirping and the wind slightly blowing so it was a great day. I did see a cardinal but he was too far away for pics. |

For me, sometimes it's just as much about the journey as the destination.
Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled. |
