A great backpacking trip with my dad and my brother Alan. Camped at the edge of Peterson Meadow. A thunderstorm rolled in on Saturday afternoon, with small hail, and an hours' worth of cold rain, so we didn't get to the top of Aztec Peak as we had planned. All the plants were a fluorescent green, spring wildflowers were coming up, and Workman Creek was flowing a little heavier than usual. What I wouldn't give to have lived in the 1880's and homesteaded that meadow!

My dad and brother hiked out on Sunday morning, but I stayed behind to do some exploring and a dayhike. A very enjoyable and memorable weekend!
