Hiked up to the base of the rock face of Browns Peak at about the 7000 foot level and then headed east along the rock base to visit the little known Quaking Aspen's and see the unburned sections of pine and fir forests. Stopped at Jack's Spring for a refill. Seems to be a reliable water source allthough it was hardly a trickle.
