| no partners | | | Great day to hike high up in the Mazatzals. Cloud cover most of the day and temps ranged from the upper 70's to the low 80's, Pretty nice for mid-July. Sprinkled twice and appeared to be headed for a downpour as I was leaving. Found bear droppings from what would appear to be a large bear. Was happy to see large areas of fir and pine forest unburned and several sapplings growing showing good sign for the future health of the forest. Hopefully a good monsoon season is in store for the area. Only used one quart of water as temp's were nice and cool. (did not go all the way to Y-bar) |
