| no partners | | After passing by the Pinto Mine yesterday I got to thinking that I am about due for another Haunted Canyon hike. So today after chores I headed up to scratch that itch. I didn't get started until a little after 1pm. The overcast kept the temperature at a nice comfortable level. I made good time so when I hit the camp site I decided to continue on the Haunted Canyon Trail up past the Tank to the Saddle. I turned back here and made a brief visit to the cabin on my way out.
A couple spots caught my eye for the elusive cave of a thousand eyes but nothing panned out. I am pretty sure I even checked the one of the spots before. One of these days we are going to find that sucker!
The road is in exceptional shape right now and a passenger car could easily make it all the way to the trailhead. Water was flowing at Tony Spring and Haunted Canyon Spring as well. |
