A return trip 3+ years after my first summit of Mine Mountain. this time to pick up Peak 4731 along the way.

The Jeep got a healthy workout because FR 1541 was in the worst shape I'd ever seen it... got so bad I bailed out and got started hiking 1.5 miles sooner than planned.

STEEP climb almost right away followed by some boulder-scrambling over to Peak 4731, then a series of ups-and-downs north across the 'ridge' to Mine Mountain.

Unbelievable! On the final lunge up to the summit I hit my head on the same boulder as I did 3+ years ago! ](*,)

Of course it took hitting my head to remember this was the harder route to the summit. :doh:

And just like last time, I 'found' the easy route on the descent.

79 degrees & 40% humidity at the start, 103 & 12% humidity with a nice breeze at the end so I felt great.
