| no partners | | I planned on a return trip to Peak 3109 followed by a nearby hike to Peak 2542 but as usual, plans seem to be made only to be broken. As I approached the old mining area where I would start the day, Peak 2542 looked to be a quick-and-easy hike so I figured I use it as the warm-up.
And a warm-up it was, for two reasons...
#1 Although I got started with upper 70's temps the humidity was hovering around 60%.
#2 I got sidetracked by the old mining area and managed to take a longer more roundabout route.
The consequence of the two is that by time I got back to the Jeep to head over to Peak 3109, I was soaked with sweat through and through. (Which seems to be happening quite a bit for me lately)
But no matter, I figured as the temp rose the humidity would drop so I took off for 3109. But within a half-mile I decided the effort was more than I cared for and settled for taking a loop in the drainage SE of Peak 3109 and calling it an early day.
