I rate this hike as a meh! Horton was great, but beyond that the trail is hard to find and stupid steep. Don't wear your trail running shoes! This is a hunting type of hike. You need boots! On top of that, the trail finding is hard. There are few markers and there are a lot of game trails to throw you off. I did see 5 bull elk with fresh velvet! The trais need maintenance and I don't think I will be back. It was nice seeing fr 300 empty because it's still closed, but I still found myself walking in the right.
