This was our first real hike and we couldnt have picked a better time to take it. The creek was running full and absolutely beautiful. Our two kids (7 & 11) really enjoyed the hike and it was a fairly easy hike for us all for being beginners. There are a few grassy areas close to the creek and under some trees perfect for stopping and having lunch and enjoying the scenery right by the Hackberry Spring. Not alot of hikers were on this trail when we went which made it even that much more peaceful and pleasurable. I would definitely recommend this hike to anyone who would like an enjoyable day trip and picnic. :)
