| no partners | | We left a sweltering Apache Junction following the forth of July and arrived in a humid Minnesota a couple of days later... nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live here... Everything is lush and green this year and clouds are frequently breaking out and a sprinkle of rain isn't too far behind. Temps are in the 80's and humidity is in the 70's so it doesn't take much exercise to break into a good sweat... I was surprised to find so little mosquito activity, but I'm not complaining either, but I did swat a couple of deer flys that were trying to feed on the back of my neck...
We made our usual trip to Minnehaha Park for a tour of the falls and take a walk along the shaded paths to the muddy Mississippi River about a mile and a half down the creek. Upon finishing my hike, it was a sit-down lunch as the Se Salt for their awesome Fish Basket, consisting of four large breaded fillets, a cup of cole slaw and wash it all down with a cold refreshing beer...
We have a few more places to go to along with friends and relatives to visit then make our return to HAZ land. |
