| no partners | | It was raining on and off in this area for nearly 24 hours straight, no torrential rainfall but a steady consistent spritz which gave me the idea to go hunt for the formidable gem that evening.
Way too much gushing whitecap water power to walk anywhere inside the creek without hitting near waist deep depth so a lot of hearty bush whacking and maneuvering was required.
Had a very close call at the waterfall trying to setup for a shot that had me thanking the big man upstairs afterwards.
Trying to climb up on a ledge I put all my weight on a 300-400lb boulder that completely shifted and came close to crushing my leg and or pushing me off the edge due to how saturated and eroded all the soil was.
With vigilance I setup for a few more shots of this rare ephemeral gem that was at the prime rate of flow and perhaps one of my favorite finds yet!
