| no partners | | I decided to get a quick trip up this old mountain trail. It's in pretty good shape. It was well constructed but clearly doesn't get much use.
None of the posted haz routes seemed to go to the highest point, so I headed that way. The trail didn't seem to continue though there were some signs of use. At the viewpoint I found an old post set in concrete and a downed tree that had once had a ladder attached to it. I assume the ladder and post were related to the lookout point referenced on the trailhead sign, but don't know for sure.
In any case, this was much more interesting than the antenna farm and road where the actual trail ends! A totally worthwhile little hike if you're in the area anyway! |
