| no partners | | | Followed Joe and Eagle's track. As Joe described, this is and excellent hike! Oaks were yellow and red. GPS track is a must. Route finding across Munds was difficult and, at places, just a push through the path of least resistance. Our boots/socks were full of sticky, pokey debris, so wear gators if you got them. Long pants recommended if you have an aversion against leg shredding brush. The ascent up Munds from Schnebly is FANTASTIC! Steep, rocky, and switch-backery with great views into Casner and Jack's canyons. We went all the way to the end and found more dramatic views down into the Courthouse Butte and Cathedral Rock. Yolanda, Carey, and I had the best time on this seldom hiked trail. |
