Joined John and Kyle on easy loop from Spur Cross. We followed trail up Cave Creek to the Cottonwood Trail turnoff then it's up to the base climb of Skull Mesa. There was brief talk of adding on Skull Mesa but decided to pass this time. Took quick break at the junction and then dropped down to Cottonwood Spring. Took a longer break at the spring. Plenty of water at this reliable spring and have yet to see it anywhere close to dry.

After that we headed back to the trailhead finishing out the loop. Nice easy Sunday hike!!
