This is an enjoyable out-and-back hike from the See Canyon TH to the southern shores of Bear Canyon Like.

We took the See Canyon Trail #184 for 4 miles until we came to the George Crook Trail #140. Then we took a short cross country jaunt until we hit Forest Service Road #208 (you could have taken a right on the General Crook Trail and then turned left once you got to FR 208, but this is a shorter and more direct route). We continued on FR 208 until we got to the Two-0-Eight TH. From there we went a short distance on Bear Canyon Lake Trail #112 until we got to Bear Canyon Lake.

The See Canyon Trail #184 was generally well-maintained, although it got a bit steep after 2 1/2 miles or so. I thought that Bear Canyon Lake was really pretty, and there was a good bit of snow still on the ground there.
