| no partners | | I decided to get out of the Valley today and head up to the Rim Country and hike up to Bear Canyon Lake.
It was cool and quite windy at the See Canyon TH at the start of this hike, and it stayed that way all the way up to Bear Canyon Lake. We had the lake all to ourselves, so we hung out there for a while.
On the way back we went up to See Spring, and took a break there. It was VERY pleasant sitting around the spring area.
It was in the low 70's when we got back to the TH, which is a very nice June day in Arizona.
There was more deadfall on the trail than there has been in the past, so hopefully there will be some trail maintenance done sometime this summer. |

Wildflowers Observation Isolated There was not much in the wildflower department -- orange western wallflower and yellow columbine were noteworthy, along with a few indian paintbrush. |
