| partners | | for our second hike, we kind of downgraded from lembert dome and chose elizabeth lake
trailhead parking is in tuolumne meadows campground
set out late afternoon
moderate grade for the first mile, then the trail levels off and ends at the lake
scenic spot, but the sun was directly over unicorn peak, making both viewing and photo taking difficult
wandered around the shore a bit, then headed back
drove down to crane flat, where we set up camp in the dark
nice enough place as far as big campgrounds go
large sites, good star viewing, relatively warm at night at 6,000 feet
securing lodging can be a challenge at yosemite, but camping makes for an inexpensive trip
thought we got our money's worth of hiking on a travel day
