| partners | | this was the first hike on our five day yosemite trip
parked at the tioga road entrance station
got going around 1:30 after leaving the valley early morning
a solid uphill right off at 10,000 feet
the trail comes to a pass with a nice view of gaylor lakes
we followed the trail up to an old mining area, cutting between the two lakes
then went off trail to one of the granite lakes
circled middle gaylor lake on the way back
nice starter hike with easy access, good views of the tioga pass area and a little history
this was denny and my fifth trip out this way, second visit to yosemite
john had to sit out last year on the disabled list, but he was back in on this trip 
last year on the drive home, we talked about all the hikes left to do, so came back for another round |
