| partners | | didn't have to pack up camp today, since the occupants of our next site vacated early 
started with north dome sunday, setting out around 8:00 from porcupine creek trailhead
the book we use underestimates the aeg, not that it mattered
the trail descends through forest, then continues along slickrock
the first views of half dome and clouds rest open up
we passed the turnoff to indian rock on the way, saving that side trip for the return
dropping below north dome, you then have to ascend the actual dome
while lower than other landmarks, the views are excellent
a good glimpse into yosemite valley along with surrounding high points
we took photos and wandered around the summit for awhile, then headed back
hiked up to an arch on the way to indian rock on the way back
now that i look at my track, we didn't go all the way to indian rock
not sure what we missed, but the arch was 
finished up, then drove over and had a snack at olmsted point for another perspective
this might have been my favorite hike of the trip
i like summit views
