| no partners | | I cannot think of a better name for this trail. Below the tree-line, the trail alternated between fairytale-like woods and open meadows with views down into Ouray. I "summited" the ridgeline/Bridge of Heaven just before a rain storm threatened but that made the view just that much more interesting. This was my second hike in the San Juans. Enough to know that statements such as "the trail wastes no time ascending" in the trail guides are wholly unnecessary. One can just assume. Would've paid $100 for the hot springs after this, but $18 was good! |
