| no partners | | | I was driving up HW31 between Lakeview and Lapine, OR, near Summer Lake on Sept 23. It was getting late and I needed to find a place to car camp for the night. I exited HW31 on Forest Road 29 for about 3 miles into the Fremont National Forest, took a 4x4 side road for about 0.1 miles and set up camp in a secluded spot. The next morning I started out early taking a couple of quick photos from camp and then driving down to HW31. HW31 is billed as a Scenic Byway in the Oregon Outback. That morning it lived up to the hype and reminded me of why I love the back roads of eastern Oregon. |
