I'm in on a project in Sabino this weekend so I was looking to stretch my legs on something simple, remote, and scenic. This trail hit the spot, for sure. Went back in for the first section of the Bellota trail, the section leaving FSR 36 heading toward Molino; just up to where it runs into FSR 36A. This is the only segment of that section of the AZ trail I hadn't completed and I always wanted to see what the map meant by "the lake" right there near the trailhead...now I know. I think the truck got a better workout than I did, but it's gorgeous back in there.
