Had Jan and Gallydoll join me this morning to take a trip up Apache Peak. Followed the official route out along Maricopa Trail to Father's Day trail. Father's Day starts the long ascent up Apache Peak. Trail was easy enough to follow and turned into a scramble the last 150' or so. Fantastic views from the top. New flag flying. Mailbox pretty beat up. Gallydoll made an extended entry in the summit log that future visitors should find amusing. Took a different trail down from the saddle back to Maricopa Trail and returned to the truck.
