| partners | | | We headed across the border into Italy to Parco Naturale di Fanes-Sennes-Braies the National Park equivalent in Italy and checked out the Dolomites. Being a national park it was busy like you would expect but the scenery was also what you would expect for national park. Great views of the Dolomites for a relatively short hike. We did a loop up to Strudelkopf peak and then back down to a saddle where there was of course a hut with beer and late lunch. Interestingly even though the region is part of Italy the locals consider it part of Austria and most people spoke German. Even the trail markers were Austrian flag so maybe it's still considered Austria. Either way it was a great hike despite the crowds. |
