This hike offered a little bit of everything...exactly what we were looking for on a Sunday morning in the Superstitions! Found a crested saguaro off the Black Mesa trail to boot! The cross cut from Black Mesa to The Boulder Canyon trail is slower than I thought it would be. It’s free form and weaving in and out of cactus and catclaw is slow going. (Read the warning that long pants are recommended!) Great views and loved dropping into the canyon and boulder hopping!
