Looking for another reasonably cool hike within a reasonable drive and no traffic to speak of, this one would be a repeat of the same time two years ago, and for the same reason... cooler temps.

We took a lazy loop generally along FR 2438 with a number of side trips/detours. We found a nice grotto between two huge boulders which provided shade from the sun, flat space to spread out and a breeze wafting thorough... perfect!

Nothing of note... no animal sightings and absolutely no humans encountered but for folks in one vehicle as we passed by the message board. Nice easy hike, no sore feet like yesterday.
