| no partners | | After getting drenched on Tuesday I got to the trailhead at 7:00. I had never done this hike before and it wasn't quite what I expected. I didn't really like the first little bit along the rim of Sandy's Canyon because you can hear traffic on Lake Mary Road. Once you drop down into the canyon it is very pretty and enjoyable. At the bottom it opens up to a meadow, and the canyon walls aren't really walls most of the time. It's an okay area but not too interesting until you get to Fisher Point. You can hike a mile to the top and get a decent view, not incredibly much to see though. What I really enjoyed was viewing the sedimentary rock walls from the bottom. Those walls look like nothing I've ever seen before! |
