The monsoons aren't messing around! Hit the trailhead by 8:30 with my new Nikon and not a threatening cloud in the sky. Had my sights on going all the way to Elden Lookout. By 9:30 there was a dark cloud overhead sprinkling on me. By 10:00 it was pouring and thunder was rumbling around me so I had to turn back. The forest was quite beautiful today though!
