I started from the plaza I was at last week when I hiked across the Salt River Rez, but this time headed northbound. The parks and green belt area are very landscaped. Not bad scenery at all considering it's urban hiking. Morning light helped with shade and cooler temps. I decided to do this on a Monday so there wouldn't be as many people around. It wasn't too bad. Busier on my way back, but not crazy crowded. I would think on a weekend it's worse. I turned around where the bike path is all concrete and seems to be away from a lot of buildings. Made this a hike a bit shorter than the rest of the segments I've been doing and finished just after 9:30am. |
