| no partners | | Definitely needed to get away last week. But I had no energy and there was supposed to be high winds where I had planned, so I chose this instead. Got there before it even opened. Didn't realize that Wednesdays are Free Days or I might have rethought this one. But if I read it right, they aren't charging at all right now, but I don't think most got the Memo based on what I saw on a Free Wednesday. People also don't understand that Restrooms are closed and locked until we get a Vaccine or Herd Immunity, whichever comes first. 
I birded, photographed, napped and just pretty much chilled myself around the Lake. The Birds totally kept me entertained on the first half of this Loop. An Eagle terrorizing the local Herons and the Herons getting pushy with the local Cormorants. And everybody's catching fish.  By the time I got done with just the Lake Loop and Hilltop, I knew I didn't want to do the Salida Gulch Long Loop. Too hot and I wasn't feeling it, so I went to a Plan B. |
